Precision Balance: At the heart of the analyzer is a high-resolution digital balance that measures the weight of the sample with great accuracy (often to 0.001g or even finer). This precise weighing is essential for determining the initial and final weights of the sample.

Heating Unit: The apparatus incorporates a controlled heating system to evaporate the moisture from the sample. Common heating sources include:

• Halogen Lamp: This is a very common and efficient heating method, providing rapid and uniform heating of the sample.
• Infrared Emitter: Another effective heating source that ensures even drying.
• Ceramic Heater: Used in some standard moisture analyzers.

Temperature Control System: Accurate temperature control is vital to ensure that only moisture is evaporated and the sample doesn't decompose or burn. Users can typically set and maintain a specific drying temperature for a defined period or until a stable weight is achieved.

Control Panel and Display: A user-friendly interface allows operators to set parameters such as drying temperature, heating time, and drying profiles. The display shows real-time weight readings, temperature, moisture content (as a percentage), and other relevant data. Many modern analyzers feature touchscreens and graphical displays.

Sample Chamber and Pan: The sample is placed in a specially designed chamber on a sample pan, usually made of metal. The design ensures efficient heat distribution to the sample.

Data Interface: Most moisture analyzers are equipped with data interfaces like RS-232 or USB ports to connect to printers or computers for data recording, analysis, and compliance with GLP/GMP regulations.

Used for determination of disintegration time of tablets.
